Darrell W. Christensen, 49, passed away July 18, 2001 at St Mark's hospital of complications from a severe stroke.
Born Oct. 7, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Jack Wayne and Bonnie Austin Christensen. Married Rita Lee, later divorced, married Patty Sandoval, she preceded him in death, married Kathie Jimas Feb. 4, 1999.
Darrell was involved with the American Legion Baseball programs for 25 years and loved horses.
Survivors: wife, Kathie, sons J.R. (Jody) Christensen, Kyle (Michelle) Christensen, eight grandchildren, parents, brothers and sisters, Steve (Jan) Christensen, Randy (Cindy) Christensen, Cindy (Butch) Schmidt and Vicky (Jerry) Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 23, 2001 1 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 So. State where friends may call Sunday 5-7 p.m. and Monday 12-12:45 p.m. Interment, Mt Olivet Cemetery. The family desires to thank the staff of St Marks Hospital for their compassionate care given to "Big D".
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Legion Baseball program.
