SUN CITY - Barbara (Babs) Bittner passed away on October 10, 2007. She was born on May 26, 1927 in Missouri.

Barbara received a degree from the University of Maryland. She taught school for one year, then married Ron Bittner in 1953 in San Diego, CA, and became a homemaker. Later, she worked alongside her husband for ten years in the gun shop they owned and operated.

Barbara enjoyed watching baseball, crocheting, completing word search and jigsaw puzzles. Barbara was a kind, caring and gentle person, who had a great love for animals.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Bittner. She is survived by her son, R. Lloyd Bittner and his wife, Susan, of Temecula, CA; daughter, Debbie Vincent and her husband, Tom, of Placentia; daughter, Barb Bittner of El Cajon, CA; daughter, Becky Swanson and her husband, Wayne, of Menifee, CA and 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, Oct 16, 2007, at Canyon Lake Community Church in Canyon Lake, CA. Interment will be at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in Point Loma at a later date. Memorial gifts may be sent to any organization established for the care and welfare of animals. California Cremation Center is handling the arrangements
