Ralph J. Lochren , 72, Rome, formerly of Ogdensburg, died Saturday morning at Rome Hospital.

Mr. Lochren was a maintenance supervisor for the Central New York Developmental Disabilities Services Office, Rome, for 37 years, retiring in 1990.

He was a charter member of Centereach Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2246, Lee Center American Legion and Stanwix Disabled American Veterans, and a member of Frank J. Steczko Polish-American Veterans Club.

Born June 4, 1931, in Ogdensburg, son of William and Juliet L. Morrissette Lochren , he graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and served in the Air Force with the 58th Fighter Bomber Wing in Korea.

Surviving are a sister, three brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

A companion, Yvonne Sargent, a sister, Mary Holland, and three brothers, Henry, George and Peter, died before him.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foxwood Memorial Park. Burial will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.
