Mrs. Elizabeth Adams Services Conducted

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, 73, who died in St. Mary's Hospital at Decatur at 8:08 a.m. Sunday, were conducted at the Arthur Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs. Adams the widow of James "Hammie" Adams who died on September 11, 1956, had been in ill health for the past five years because of a heart aliment.

The Rev. Kenneth Plummer, pastor of the church conducted the services.

Burial was in the Arthur Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harve Thomas, E. L. Upstone, Hans Oye, Rondel Cater, Klyde Combs, and Fred White.

Fleming Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Adams was born in Arthur on January 5, 1884, the daughter of John and Margaret Stoller.

She was a life-long resident of Arthur.

She and Mr. Adams were married on December 31, 1900.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Vaughn of Arthur, Mrs. Vira Garrett of Tuscola and Mrs. Emily Stout of Tuscola.; two sons, Ferd of Lansing Mich. and James of Dyer, Ind; one sister, Mrs. Mary Kinney of Arthur; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, two brothers; John and David, and a sister, Lena, also preceded her in death.
