Mrs. Dickey Is Dead at 76; Funeral Today Alabama Native Was Druid Hills Baptist Memler.
Mrs. John It. Dickey, 76, of 866 Euclid avenue, N. E., prominent in Atlanta social and women's circles, died late Wednesday night in a private hospital. The former Miss Lucy Angel Fox, Mrs. Dickey was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. J. O. Fox, of Selma, Ala. Her father was a well-known Alabama physician. She was a graduate of Judson college. Mrs. Dickey came to Atlanta more than 50 years ago to live with her grandparents. She married the late John It. Dickey, of Atlanta, who formerly was active in the Masons. She was an active member of Druid Hills Baptist church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. George W. Barrett, of Atlanta; a brother, J. R. Fox, of Norwich, Conn., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p. m. today at Spring Hill, with Dr. Louie D. Newton officiating. Burial will be in West View cemetery.

Rite Win s Bequest OI $20,000 A bequest of $20,000 in cash for the Scottish Rite Hospital for Crippled Children near Decatur is contained in the will of the late Mrs. Lucy Fox Dickey, filed for probate yesterday with the Fulton county ordinary. The will stipulated that the fund is to be considered as a memorial to her late husband, John Rucker Dickey. The will devised numerous other cash legacies, including $5,000 to Pearl Dickey, of Mineral Bluff, Ga.: $5,000 to Alice Dickey Sutton, of Geff, IL.; $10,000 to Lucy Lynn Dickey, of Decatur; $3,000 to Inez Dickey Scott; $3,000 to John Rucker Dickey, of College Park; $8,000 to the Andrew Frances Stewart Nursery; $5,000 to Emily Keller McNelley; $30,000 to James Randolph Fox, of Norwich, Conn.; $3,000 to the Judson College of Marion, Ala.; $3,000 to Mrs. John D. Taylor, of Summerville, Ga.; $5,000 to Rubye Dickey; $2,000 to Genevive C. McNelley; $200 to George Dickey Barrett; $200 to the Druid Hills Baptist church. To a "faithful servant, Willy Ruff," Mrs. Dickey left $500 and to Norma Bryant, her cook, $250. Her home and its furnishings, Mrs. Dickey left to her sister, Nellie Fox Barrett. She left 13 shares of the City National Bank of Selma, Ala., to Mattie Crenshaw King, of Asheville, N. C. The will stated that Mrs. Dickey inherited these shares from her grandfather. She also devised to Mrs. King property at 260-262 Boulevard, N. E., and at 462 Highland avenue. To Dr. Crawford F. Barnett, she left 100 shares of Coca-Cola International. For. funeral expenses, Mrs . Dickey set aside $2,000 and left another $1,000 for the maintenance of her family lot at West View cemetery.
