Cloat, Louis and August, emigrated from the French province of Lorraine many years ago, and settled in Victoria county; the first two on the Coletto creek, and the latter in town. All three are prosperous and prominent citizens; and the second generation is legion. Bob Willemain, son of Cloat, married a daughter of the late Mr. James Bennett, and died in 1883. Of the daughters of Cloat, one married Capt. Frank Sifferman; another Marshal Edward Sitterle; and another Mr. Tobe Reeves.
