ELLEN McDONALD
Ellen Mayers was born in Yorkshire, England, June 3, 1864. She came from England at the age of five years and settled in Illinois for about five years, then came to Iowa, where she has spent the rest of her life.
She was married April 14, 1883, to Frank M. McDonald. To this union were born eleven children: Sarah Elizabeth, who departed this life at the age of 14 years; John William, Charles Edward, Ollie May, Mary Emma, Anna Bell, Ruth Alice, George Washington, Thomas Clarence, Francis Arthur and Alfred Levi.
She died at her daughter's home, Mrs. Ollie Peterson, in Chariton, August 12, 1916, at the age of 52 years, 2 months and 9 days.
