Harry U. Pearson, age 84, passed away on January 26, 2005, with his family by his side. Harry entered the Army in 1940 and was a light mortar crewman and received many medals from action in New Guinea, the Philippines, and the East Indies. He was honorably discharged on November 22, 1945. His hobbies were fishing, hiking in the high lakes, hunting, and scroll sawing. Harry and Peggy belonged to the Happy Hoppers - square dancers in Marysville. He was a life-time member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Peggy; daughter, Chris (John) Olson; sons, James and Ronald. His five grandchildren were a joy in his life, along with six great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Maxine (Bob) Warren and Pansy Fay (Claude) Gee.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2005, at the Chapel of Purdy & Walters with Cassidy. Interment at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
