Adams, Lemuel "Homie" Age 62, of Joliet passed away into eternal rest with his family by his side, Saturday, May 23, 2009. Lemuel was a Vietnam War Veteran. He was also employed by the Joliet Herald News for many years. Best known as Homie by his family and friends, who loved working on cars and helping people out. Preceded in death by his mother, Bessie; father, Isadore; one brother, Leon; and stepmother, Gladys. He leaves to mourn his children, Claude, Leon Thomas, Carlotta (Joel) Lisa, Cora, and Sara; grandchildren; three brothers, Isadore "Fox", Willie "Quackie" (Pearlie), and James (Lucille); one sister, Bernice; aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, cousins, and friends, very special friends, Myrtle and Dorothy. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 2-6 pm at the funeral home and Friday, May 29, 2009 9:30-10:30 am at Mt. Moriah M.B. Church, 1502 Arthur Ave., Joliet, IL, Rev. Clint Wilburn, pastor.
