Charles H. Broeker, 88, residing on SR 8, died Wednesday, Nov 15, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. at his residence.

Charles was born on May 14, 1912 in Donaldson to Herman and Elizabeth Stier Broeker.

On November 26, 1939, he married Jane E. Boehm in Burr Oak. She survives.

A farmer and lifetime resident, Charles was a memeber of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a master gardener, 4-H leader and judge, and operated a fruit and vegetable stand for 59 years.

Survivors include three sons, Charles E. and Mary Ann Broeker of Plymouth, Donald and Jeanneane Broeker of Culver, and Timothy and Sheila Broeker of Monterey; two daughters, Dian and Charles Harris of Blue Springs, MO and Michelle Hanson of Springfield, IL; a brother, Raymond and Ann Broeker of Culver; a sister, Mabel A. and Wesley Kirkpatrick of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild, a brother, and a sister.

Visitation will be Friday, November 17, 2000 from 2-8 p.m.and Saturday, November 18, 2000 from 1-2 p.m. at the Bonine Funeral Home in Culver.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Elder James Wheeler will officiate.

Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery in Culver.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Marshall County Hospice and the Marshall County Visiting Nurses.
