GRAND SALINE - Funeral services for Helen Anders, 83, of Grand Saline are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Fisher officiating.

Burial will be in Creagleville Cemetery.

Mrs. Anders passed away May 24, 2009, in a Grand Saline nursing home. She was born July 4, 1925, in Grand Saline to Oscar P. and Sudie Mitchell Rodgers.

She spent all of her life in the Grand Saline area where she was a member of the Assembly of God and worked for Morton Salt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Anders; sisters, Muriel McCollum, "Bill" Woods, Margaret Till and Virginia Rodgers.

Survivors include D'an Anders and Karen Hattaway of Austin, Sue and Cruz Maciel of Port Neches, Kay Fisher of Duncanville, Marialice Anders of Grand Saline, and Jackie and Larry Nivens of Santa Fe, N.M.; grandchildren, Adam Heddins, Debbie Mallett, Lindsey Tipton, Kyle Maciel, Ashley Fisher, Rodger Fisher, Jason Skiles, Molly Davidson and Ben Hattaway; great-grandchildren, Kate Fawcett, Elle Mallett, Nolan Tipton, Hunter and Dylan Davidson, and Samantha and Whitney Skiles; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Phillips, Ray Carnes, Rodney Coffman, Don Kirkpatrick, James Yarbrough and Bo Fite.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vickie Harris and grandsons.
