h/o Zula Etoe Neal m. 4/6/1920 @ Yell County, Ark.

f/o James Francis (WWII Vet), Wilburn Dewain (KIA in WWII), Juanita Etoy Naugle, Delores Mae Cupps, Jerry Bryant (deceased) & Mary "JoAnne" Joetta Webb.

My great aunt, who I didn't really "meet" 'til adulthood, told me her dad was from England. After he got here his whole family dropped dead leaving him an orphan. So he went from farm to farm looking for a way to support himself & was taken in by his future wife's mom who'd just lost her hubby to the 1919 flu epidemic. My great grandparents married, had their oldest 2 in Yell County Ark then moved to OK where they had the rest.

Acc'd to the census I find on them he was from Ark. Then I found what's gotta be his draft card. It says b-day 3/22 & his stone says 3/26. It says he's from Ark & nearest relative listed was George Riley Jones.

I found one census listing both George R. & James B. They're listed as step-kids to the head of the house Manor (Minor?) E. Ward. Their mom's Martha A. And there's another brother in between them - Gwin N. They're also in Yell County so I believe this is them. And my great aunt did say she believed her dad had 2 brothers.

I've been unable to find them in census w/ real dad. I've also been unable to find anything further on Gwin N. If you can help...please suggest a correction.
