Aubrey Franklin Beard, 83, Kingston, died February 9 in the VA Hospital at Fayetteville. Born February 25, 1893, in Graves County, Kentucky, he was the son of Fenco and Minnie Swor Beard, an Army veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion, Holiness Church, and was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ada Whorton Beard of the home; one son, Ewel Beard, of Kingston; and three half-sisters, Mrs. Scinda Duvall, Kuna, Idaho, Mrs. Ada Cline and Mrs. Rheua Cline, Kingston; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday, February 11, at 2 p.m. in Kingston Community Church with the Rev. Kenneth Shepherd officiating. Burial was in the Whorton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
