Mildred Leona ‘Millie' Canady Odham, of Wilmington, NC, died Friday, January 28, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Wilmington.
She was born August 26, 1928 in New Hanover County, NC, daughter of the late Eugene Elinzia and Thelma Kelly Canady.
Surviving are two sons John and wife Nancy, and Gary and friend Debbie; a daughter Sherry Hand and husband Richard; grandchildren Kathleen, Jodie, Dean, Kelly, and Reid; a great-grandchild Shyann; three sisters Dean Guy, Eleanor Cooper, and Sybil Innis; and a host of nieces and nephews. (Favorite Nephew, you know who you are.) Also surviving is the father of her children John Odham and wife Violet. Two nephews, Bradley and Grant and a niece Kim Tu preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2005, at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel by the Rev. G. Arnold Griffin. Interment will follow in Oleander Memorial Gardens.
