Edowene (Eddye) Lois Albers, 72, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2009 with her family at her side.
She was born June 2, 1936 in San Antonio, Texas to Edward and Emma Allison, who preceded her in death.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She married Henry E. Albers on June 7, 1958 and celebrated 50 years of marriage.
She is survived by her husband, Henry E. Albers of Portland; her three daughters: Donna (San) Randall of Beeville, Texas, Cathy (Darrell) McBryde of Humble, Texas and Karen (Glenn) Lindley of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren: Casey (Chris) Cayton, Derek Randall, Brian McBryde and Meredith Lindley and one great granddaughter, Abby Cayton; three sisters: Betty Duffin and Patricia Humphrey, both of San Antonio, Texas and Donnie Chastain of Leesville, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddye's family would like to thank the staff of Lighthouse Hospice, especially, Lori, Sandra and Lacey for their special care. A special thank you is extended to Dr. LeeSang.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Monday, April 6, 2009 with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, 2003 West Wheeler, Aransas Pass, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at San Patricio Memorial Gardens, Portland, Texas.
Pallbearers escorting her will be Dan Randall, Darrell McBryde, Glenn Lindley, Derek Randall, Brian McBryde and Keith Albers. Honorary pallbearers are Linton Savage, Bob Andrews and Robert Adler.
