1. Sarah Pierson: 2 children
2. Hannah Munn: 2 children
3. Desire Cory: 12 children
Old family notes & data say there were 2 more children, died in infancy; no names.
It was noted that Timothy had 4 daughters [Phebe, Desire, Mary & Hannah] & his 3rd wife, Desire, all die in 1793. Research revealed that NJ, Pa. & NY suffered two plagues/pandemics during 1793; yellow & scarlet fevers; ten's of thousands of people died. Thus is the probable explanation for Timothy's misfortune. Timothy's obit is in church's first record book.
The summary below is missing one Child, Abigail [1754 - ?], married James Walsh [1752-1786], a rev. war soldier [3rd NJ Reg., Jeremiah Ballard's Co., Pvt.]; the first Northfield Baptist Church Record Book contains these notes: Abigail Walsh joined the Northfield Baptist Church, Livingston, Essex Co, NJ in 1789; Moved from Northfield Church on 9/4/1790; reported gone to Ohio? No traces ever found
Timothy Meeker was a Minute Man in the Battle of Springfield. The Battle of Springfield was fought during the American Revolutionary War on June 23, 1780, in Union County, New Jersey. Although the British were initially able to advance, they were ultimately forced to withdraw in the face of newly arriving rebel forces, resulting in a Continental victory. The battle effectively ended British ambitions in New Jersey.
