He entered the Marines in November 1968 and served until 1973, earning a Purple Heart. Sedrick was employed by Union Pacific Railroad for 38 years until he retired in 2009.
He is survived by two daughters, five grandchildren, two brothers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and railroad family.
