Fred E. Beadles, 84, of Heartland Health Care Center died there Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

Fred was born on October 13, 1924 in Summum, the son of John R. and Mary C. (Coney) Beadles. He married Geneda M. Welker on June 21, 1957 at Jacksonville. She died June 26, 1984.

He was also preceded by his parents, one stepdaughter, one great grandchild, one brother, and three sisters.

Surviving are 5 stepdaughters, Marilyn (Clinton) Waller, Harriet (Richard) Baldwin, Joyce Gibson, Donna Chapman and Bonnie (Roy) Jones.

He retired from Caterpillar Mossville Plant, where he had worked as an inspector.

He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded.
