Alice E. Borgelt age 81 of McComb died Tuesday December 30, 2008 4:05 p.m. at the Heritage in Findly. She was born June 15, 1927 in McComb to Arthur and Carol (Brubaker) Coakley. She married William Borgelt June 10, 1945 and he died December 11, 1984. Mrs. Borgelt is survived by 3 daughters Barbara Peters of Findlay, Jean Gray of Frankfort KY, Carol (Jim) Crist of McComb; and 3 sons John (Kay) Borgelt of Findlay, Andy Borgelt of Pandora, and Scott (Karen) Borgelt of McComb. There are 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Margaret Coakley of Leipsic. She was preceded in death by a sister Eileen Bennett and a brother Charles Coakley.

Mrs. Borgelt was a retired secretary from the HHWP Community Action Commission in Findlay. She had also been a secretary for Findlay College and the Ohio Highway Patrol District office in Findlay. Mrs. Borgelt was a 1945 graduate of McComb High School. She was a member of the McComb First Presbyterian Church, and she was a member of the McComb Progress Study Club.

Visitation will be on Friday January 2, 2009 5-9 p.m. at the HARTLEY FUNERAL HOME in McComb. The funeral service will be on Saturday January 3, 2009 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to service. The Rev. Rick Adams officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or Campus Crusade for Christ in c/o Hartley Funeral Home.
