Nan Barrow, 84, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, May 15, 2009, in a Dallas hospital.

Funeral services celebrating Nan's life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Brown and Rev. Ben Smith officiating.

Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Nan was born May 6, 1925, in Quinlan. She was the daughter of the late Eather and Virginia Vansickle.

She was a lifelong resident of Quinlan; graduating from Quinlan High School as valedictorian of her class of 1942.

She was married to David Barrow on Aug. 5, 1947, and they continued to make their home here; raising their family on a ranch near town and owning Barrow's Bait Shop for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Quinlan.

David preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 2000. Her son, Michael David Barrow, also preceded her in death.

Known by her grandkids as "Nanny," her family always will remember that she put family first every time no matter what.She was loved and will be missed by her son, Ronald Barrow of Quinlan; daughters, Linda Spurlock and her husband Randy of Garland, Shirley Chambliss and her husband Buddy and Annette Chreene and her husband Dale all of Quinlan; grandchildren, Jason, Chad, Ashley, Sean, Jeffrey, Shauna, Colten, Kendall, Kelsey and Blake; and great-grandchildren, Logan, Chloe, Landyn, Trenton, Kylee, Candance and Kennedy.

Pallbearers are Jason Spurlock, Jeffrey Chambliss, Colten Barrow, Blake Chreene, Sean Chambliss, Chad Spurlock, J.W. Barrow and Bichard Barrow.
