Della Frances Guynn Ayers, 75, of Case Knife Road, Pulaski, died Sunday, July 24, 1994 at her home. Born Nov. 9, 1918 in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Harvey Guynn & Stella Wampler Guynn. She was a member of Mountain Brook Missionary Baptist Church on Case Knife Road, Pulaski. She was retired from the Pulaski Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony J. Ayers; a son, Thomas James Ayers; four sisters and a brother. Surviving are one sister, Betty Guynn Jones of Pulaski; one brother, Robert E. Lee Ayers of Pulaski; one daughter, Leila Ayers Hurst of Layergne, TN; three sons, Tony J. Ayers of Hillsville, Tyler J. "Jack" Ayers of Pulaski and John L. Ayers of Salt Lake City, UT; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain Brook Missionary Baptist Church, Case Knife road, Pulaski, with the Rev. Dale Alters and the Rev. William "Junior" Covey officiating. Burial will be in the Hufford Cemetery, Pulaski County. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Pulaski. Stevens Funeral Home Inc., Pulaski, is in charge of arrangements.
