MRS. MAHLON JONES
After forty-eight years of married life Elvina R., wife of Mahlon Jones, died this morning about 9:15 o'clock at their home, 206 Susquehanna avenue, Lansdale. She would have been seventy-six years old on July 29, and has resided in Lansdale for the past thirty-four years. She had been ill since January, suffering from dropsy, Bright's disease and Erysipelas.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, who will be seventy-six years old his next birthday, five children, twenty-three grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The surviving children are: Miss Clara Jones, living at home; Lillian, wife of Richard Murray, of Ambler; Cora, wife of Charles Metzgar, of South Bethlehem; Ira, of Evansburg, and William, of Logan. One child preceded Mrs. Jones in death.
Her three surviving sisters are: Mrs. Susanna Denner and Mrs. Oswin Weand of Trumbauersville, and Mrs. Charles Hillegass, of Coopersburg.
