HELEN C. (BLEE) HENDRICKS, 90, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, she worked as a bookkeeper and secretary with George & Kate Colonial Shop for several years and at Lucky Steer Restaurant. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Catholic Business Women's Club of Fort Wayne, and active member of the NW Neighborhood Association. She enjoyed playing cards and had been active in several card clubs. She is survived by her sons, James (Carolyn S.) Eagleson of Middlebury and John (Barbara) Eagleson of Fort Wayne; daughter, Janice (Van) Echler of Montpelier, Ohio; step-son, Terry Hendricks of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Eagleson, in February of 1971; second husband, Eugene Hendricks, on Jan. 27, 2000; step-sons, Timothy and Mark Hendricks; and sister, Mary Kohrman. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2101 Pemberton, with calling one hour prior at the church. Fr. Thomas Shoemaker officiating. Calling also from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
