Omar spent 50 years of his life in law enforcement. He was a Deputy sheriff in Clifton-Morenci in 1898. He moved to Douglas, Arizona, in 1902. Joined the El Paso and Southwestern Railroad as a conductor until 1920. Deputy sherriff and fingerprint expert in Douglas. Douglas police dept. from 1923-1927. Deputy sheriff again from 1929-1931. 1931-1933 special investigator for federal government. 1932-1936 elected justice of the peace in Douglas. 1937 joined state prison staff. Deputy warden 1938-39. During World War II he was a guard at an aircraft plant in Van Nuys, California.
