OBITUARY: Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Evans were held Saturday, July 20, 1968 at 10:00am in the First Baptist Church at Gotebo with Rev. Harmon Bishop, pastor, officiating.

She was born August 1, 1898 at Jonesboro, Texas and died July 17, 1968 at University Hospital in Oklahoma City. She came to Gotebo in 1918.

Her husband, Banner Evans, preceded her in death in 1953.

Among her survivors are her children: Ben Evans, Gotebo; Mrs. Bud (Maxine) Marshall, Gotebo; Mrs. Woodrow (Bernice) Ragland, Cloud Chief; James Evans, Gotebo; Mrs. Shux (Lora Mae) Glover, Hobart; Mrs. Barton (Wanda) Baker, Gotebo; Alfred Evans, Hanau, Germany; Mrs. Lee (Mary Ellen) Clifton, Goeppingen, Germany; forty grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Maude Chappelear, Cloud Chief; Mrs. Claude Hawkins, Cordell and a brother, Frank Coalson, Hobart.

Pallbearers were Gerald Deatherage, James Earl Rudd, Paul Terry, Ronald Lee Frank, Leroy Barbee, David Burch, Jerry Gather, and Donald Cooper, husbands of her granddaughers.

Honorary pallbearers were grandsons: Bill Evans, Jack Marshall, George Adams, William Evans, Ricky Marshall, Noble Ragland, Barton Wayne Baker and David Baker.
