A funeral service for Travis Baker, 95, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with the Rev. Brad Morgan of Bonita Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Baker passed away Monday, March 30, 2009, at Nacogdoches Medical Center. He was born November 10, 1913, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Bennett and Elizabeth Baker. He was a very hard worker. He was a rancher and was a dairy farmer for 47 years and loved what he did. He was an avid gardener and loved his family very much. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Patty Neill and Marion of Broaddus, Texas, Jane Edmons and John of Zavalla, Texas, and Sarah Beth Clifton and J.W. of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Shane Neill, Tammy Beard, Gigi Bradshaw, Raela Wright, Rhonda Edmons, Baker Clifton and Bill Clifton. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Elise Neill Reyes, Chaney Thomasson, Shane Keith Wright, Kayla Wright, Callie Beard, Cade Beard, Camlin Beard, Randi Bradshaw, Brett Bradshaw, Kasey Goss, Brady Clifton, Derek Clifton and Olivia Clifton and numerous other relatives and friends and several special caregivers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Baker; parents, Bennett and Elizabeth Baker; brothers, Webb , Watts, Guy and Robert Baker ; granddaughter, Reba Thomasson, and grand son-in-law, Scott Beard. Pallbearers will be Shane Neill, Baker Clifton, Bill Clifton, Lane Bradshaw, Keith Wright and Chris Thomasson. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2009. Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors -- Wade Alexander, director.
