Kenneth E. Case, 79, Winfield, formerly of Arkansas City and New Orleans, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Rest Haven Nursing Home of Winfield. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, in the Parker Cemetery. Mr. Wayne Robbins will officiate. Ken was born Sept. 3, 1929, in Arkansas City, to Wesley and Alma Lena (Robinson) Case. He was reared and educated in Arkansas City. He married Sybil Westbrook in Newkirk. Ken raised and showed poodles for many years. He was a forklift operator in Kansas City, Chicago, and New Orleans. Survivors include a son, Kenneth Jr. and his wife, Barbara Case, of Enid, Okla.; a daughter, Kathy and her husband, Robert Hammitt, of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Lawrence and his wife, Arlene Case, of Dallas, Robert Case, of Olathe; two granddaughters, Angill and husband, Kurt Hobbs, Chrystal and her husband, Scott Hartman; one great-granddaughter; 12 nieces and nephews; caregivers, Carlla Pike, and the staff of Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandsons, Jabey Case and Mike Villar; sister, Caroline and her husband, Woodrow Pike; brother, F. Melvin Case; nephew, Lawrence Otis Case; and sister-in-law, Ruth Case.

A memorial has been established with Rest Haven Nursing Home of Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home, Arkansas City.
