Gustie and Hulda made their home a place where other people could call home because people were always welcomed there. They raised many beautiful flowers which made their home beautiful inside and out. The Lehmkuhl sisters are loved by many.
in June 1983, Gustie and Hulda moved to the Bethel Manor Apartments and in January 1988 Gustie moved to the Knute Nelson Home. On July 6, 1990, Gustie passed away at the Knute Nelson Home at the age of 92 years.
She is survived by sisters: Mrs. Hulda Lehmkuhl of Alexandria; Mrs. Viola Draeger of Morgan; Mrs. Minnie Menk of Hillsboro, ND; brother: William Voeltz of Morgan; god-sons: Roy Merten of Coon Rapids; David Draeger of Redwood Falls; god-daughter: Anita Sanders of Fairfax.
Augusts was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral services were July 9, 1990 at Zion Lutheran Church, Alexandria, with Rev. Stephen Bruening officiating. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Pallbearers were Roy Merten, Otto Stinglhammer, Bill Amundson, Norman Sukke, David Draeger, and Ray Olson. Arrangements with Anderson Funeral Home.
