Hazel Alene Belville (Bayless) Schneider passed away on February 8, 2008. She was born on August 26, 1925 in Dallas, Texas. Hazel was born to parents LeeRoy Belville and Cora (Cantrell) Belville. Hazel Schneider grew up in Yoakum and she married Melvin E. Bayless in Yoakum on June 24, 1945. She moved to La Grange in 1955.

Hazel Alene Belville (Bayless) Schneider was a Charter Member of Gospel Lighthouse Assembly of God. She was very active in the Women's Meeting group at the church and was the Sunday School Secretary for numerous years.

She is survived by two sons, Bruce Bayless & his wife, Emilia of New Braunfels; Scott Bayless and his wife, Judi of La Grange; one daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Bayless Henning and her husband, Richard of La Grange; granddaughters, Kayla Bayless of Bryan; Shelley Sestak and her husband, Mark of New Braunfels; Stacy Hill of La Grange; Nicole Brackman of Fayetteville; Amanda Cernosek and her husband, Chris of High Hill. Grandsons: Major Kevin Bayless and his wife Jana of Mount Laurel, New Jersey; Major Kyle Bayless and his wife Rebecca of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Game Warden Shaun Bayless and his wife Angie of Andrews, Texas ; one sister, Helen Brenneis and her husband, Al of Wichita, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Betty Belville of Houston; brothers, Marvin Belville and his wife Elaine of Garland, Texas; Howard Belville and his wife, Mattie of Longview; thirteen great-grandchildren; and special nieces, Kim Cunningham of Wichita, Kansas, Brenda Worsham of San Antonio, and Gay Sherman of Garland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Keith Wayne Bayless; and four brothers, Robert Belville, Earl Belville, Leonard Belville and Vernon Belville.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 11, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gospel Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in La Grange with Pastor Walt Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Hostyn.
