Cynthia S. "Cindy" Smith, age 58, of Villa Grove died at 11:05 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2009, at her home in Villa Grove.

She was born to George and Wanda Parker Corbin. They preceded her in death. She married Charles Smith, Dec. 12, 1969, in Villa Grove. He survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Chuck Smith of Savoy and Matt Smith of Mattoon; four grandchildren; two brothers, Danny Corbin of Wisconsin, Calvin Corbin of Champaign and three sisters, Marsha Green of Villa Grove, Connie Palmer of Springfield and Pat French of Arkansas.
