She was born Feb. 2, 1926, in Trimble County, Ky., the daughter of Joseph and Flossie Barnes Andrew. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bedford Christian Church and the Women of the Moose 765.
She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Persell; three daughters, Peggy Powell and Pam Welsh, both of Bedford, Ky. and Patsy Bargo of Louisville, Ky.; one son, Kendrick Persell of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Sue Persell, who died Sept. 15, 2006; and her parents.
A celebration of life was at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery of Bedford, Ky.
