Oley O. King, Jr., age 70, of Fernandina Beach, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2009 at the Morris Center of Community Hospice, Jacksonville, FL after a lengthy illness. Born in Jesup, Georgia on July 10, 1938, he was a son of the late, Oley O. King, Sr. and Mildred Rodenberry King. Moving to Fernandina at the age of 2, he graduated from Fernandina Beach High School, Class of 1957. He attended Catawba College in Salisbury, NC and graduated from Jones College with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Management. A lifelong resident of Fernandina Beach, Mr. King had worked as a Millwright at ITT Rayonier for thirty years before retiring in the early 1990s. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Preceding him in death are his parents, Oley O. and Mildred R. King. He leaves behind, his wife of forty three years, Molly King, his five children, Melinda Crawford (Robert), Elizabeth Seagraves (Tommy), Raul Bunch (Brenda), Jennifer Geiger (Michael), Jeffrey Bunch, three brothers, Thomas King, Stanley King Carl King, four sisters, Jean Henn, Nettia Dean Wilder, Patricia Forehand, Edna Mullis, grandchildren, Ashlee McDonald, Holli and Sean Crawford, Megan and Seth Geiger, Jake, Cason and Stephanie Bunch, Kyle and Dylan Bunch. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, from the Burgess Chapel. Mr. King will be laid to rest in Bosque Bello Cemetery.
