WIFE OF ROBERT BUSBY PASSES AWAY AT HOME

Funeral for Mrs. Mary Busby, 71, Thursday at 2:30 o'clock P.M.

Mrs. Mary M. Busby, 71, wife of Robert Busby, died at 10:30 o'clock last night at her home at 805 West Adams Street. She suffered a stroke of paralysis Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Busby was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Oller. She was born in Shelby County December 3, 1854. She was united in marriage to Mr. Busby on September 12, 1880, at her father's home, south of this city.

Mrs. Busby was a woman of excellent character. Her kind and amiable disposition and her readiness to help the unfortunate, made her loved by all with whom she came in contact. She was a devoted wife and a loving and kind mother and sister. She was a faithful member of the First Methodist Church of this city, attending regularly until a few years ago, when ill health prevented. No children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Busby, but they took several children into their home and cared for them with patient and gentle hands until a home was secured for them. They reared three foster children from infancy, a foster daughter, Mrs. Wallace Price, who passed away a few years ago and two foster sons, Guy Oller and Dean Lee, both of Taylorville who survive. Her parents, a brother and sister also preceded Mrs. Busby in death.

Surviving besides the husband and foster sons are two sisters, Mrs. Walter Hord, Taylorville; Mrs. Eliza Vonachen, Rock Island and six brothers; George Oller, Irving; Sam, Charles and William Oller all of Coldwater, Kansas; John Oller, Omaha, Nebraska and James Oller of Tovey. She also leaves one foster grandchild, Bobby Lee, Taylorville.

The funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the First Methodist Church. The Rev. F. J. Campbell will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
