Mable Lucy was born in 1900 to John and Lizzie Pratt of Stillwater, Oklahoma. In 1904 when her mother Lizzie died, Lizzie's husband put the girls up for adoption.
Lucy was adopted by Wm and Ettie Block of Gothenburg (Find A Grave Memorial# 30192696 and 30192577, NB. She had three brothers in this adoptive family, John, Evert, and Oltman. One deceased brother, Hinrick W., who passed away before Lucy became a member of the Block family.

Lucy married Joseph Lewis Beyett, had four children by Joe and moved from Gothenburg, NB to Bay City, MI during the great depression.

Lucy and Joe were divorced in abt 1934. Lucy later married Norman Lee Caverly. Lucy and Norm lived on a farm in Lapeer, raised chickens, cows and pigs.
She was an active member of the women's auxiliary with the VFW in Lapeer. She was well loved and is very much missed.

Recently we discovered who Grandma's biological parents were. And discovered even though the girls were put up for adoption, the Parrish family stayed in contact with Lucy and her sister Ruby up till the time the Parrish's died.
