Robert F. "Bob" Wilkins, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 6, 1937. Mr. Wilkins retired as a Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps and proudly served in Viet Nam and in countless other tours of duty. He was the Admin Personnel Chief for the 4th Recon Battalion in San Antonio. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Wilkins; children, Barbara Bender and husband Ralph, David Santana, Steven Santana; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brother, William Wilkins and his wife Cathy. The graveside service and interment was held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at 9:45 A.M. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with United States Marine Corps Honors. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
