BRADFORD -- Lawrence R. Knox 66, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday at his home, 476 Bolivar Drive, Bradford, after an illness of six months. He was born in Franklin on June 14, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremiah Knox,
He moved to Bradford in 1921 and worked for the Kendall Refining Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1956.
He married Celia Brown, who survives, with four sons Dr. Maurice C. Knox, Glendale, CA, David E., Bells Camp, near Bradford, John G., at home; five daughters, Mrs. Merle Phillips, Bradford, Mrs. Charles Hetrick, Limestone, NY, Mrs. Raymond Crane, Clute, TX, Mrs. Paul Peterson, Buffalo; Mrs. Melvin Potts, Traverse City, MI; a sister Mrs. James Brown, of Franklin.
Services will be at the home at 1 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Elmer E. Rose, of the First Baptist Church, Bradford, officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Morrison Cemetery, Congress Hill.
