MRS. BATTIN PASSES AWAY
Well - known Resident of County Dies--Funeral to Be Tuesday.

Mrs. Hattie M. Battin, 50, widow of William R. Battin, died at 10:45 o'clock Sunday morning at her home two miles west of the city. She had been ill for two years, but her condition did not become serious until two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Flanigan, Reed & Hull funeral home with Dr. T. K. Smith in charge. Burial will be made in Garland Brook cemetery. The casket is open at the funeral home.

Mrs. Battin was born in Brown county, but had lived in this county for more than 30 years.

Survivors include five sons and four daughters, Howard, Dallas and William Battin, Mrs. Paul Castner, Mrs. Chester Ping, Miss Marjorie and Betty Battin, all of this city, and Robert Battin of Indianapolis; four brothers, Henry and William White of this county and Roy and Martin White of Brown county, and five grandchildren.
