Marian Lemex Of Delaware Ave. in Milford, DE, age 90, died Friday October 29, 1999 at Bayhealth/Milford Memorial. Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 3 at ROGERS FUNERAL HOME, 301 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, DE. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial: Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milford.
Mrs. Lemex was born in Milton, DE on July 20, 1909, daughter of Alonzo and Florence Milby Holloway and has lived in Milford since the 1930's. Mrs. Lemex owned and operated the Faith and Love Nursery for over 30 years and was affectionately known as "mom-mom" by many of her children in the Milford area. She was a Sunday School teacher for the Bykota class for many years at Calvary United Methodist Church in Milford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Lemex in 1939 and her daughter, Ellen Lemex Wolfe in 1956.
She is survived by her daughter, Helena Lynch and son-in-law Claude Lynch, Jr. of Milford, DE; son, Vernon Lemex of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Joanne Stickel, Greg Lynch, Kay Warren, Claude Lynch, III, and Ashley Wolfe, all of Milford, Sheri Barksdale, Ross Lemex and Kristi Lemex, all of Texas; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to The Milford Public Library's Children's Books, 11 SE Front St., Milford, DE 19963 or the Jireh Christian Center Daycare Fund, 655 S. Bay Road, Suite 211, Dover, DE 19901.
