She was born in Augusta County to the late Elom N. and Retta Virginia Grove. A dedicated wife and mother, a true artesian of knitting, crocheting and seamstress, Mrs. Clarke was also a member of the Eastern Star.
The family is grateful to the Laurels of Willow Creek Nursing Home for their loving care during her last few difficult years.
She is survived by a son, Irvin Blair Clark Jr., and his wife, Ila Gay Clarke; a daughter, Anne Clarke Davenport and her husband, John Davenport; two grandchildren, Mary Blair Davenport and Emily Trehubenko; two great-grandsons, John and Andrew Trehubenko; and two nieces.
Interment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Waynesboro, VA.
