Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Almelund for Mrs. Axel L. Anderson, age 74, who died of internal injuries at the St. Croix Falls Memorial Hospital last Friday following an auto accident. The mishap occurred at the junction of Highway No. 8 and 95 when Mr. Anderson reportedly turned off No 8 onto 95.
At the moment of the turn another car, headed east. collided with the Anderson car resulting in Mrs. Anderson's death an hour or two later and severe blood chest injury of Mr. Anderson. Paul Shuey of St. Paul, driver of the east-bound car, is said to have lost an eye as a result of the crash. Occupants of both cars were taken to the St. Croix Memorial Hospital at approximately 8:30 am only a few minutes after the accident.
So critical was Mr. Anderson hurt that the funeral for Mrs. Anderson, which was to have been held Tuesday was postponed until Saturday. Burial will be at the Almelund Cemetery. A telephone call by the Press to the St. Croix Hospital revealed Mr. Anderson is still in critical condition.

The 1910 federal census shows Anna (27) and her husband Axel (32) as family 61 in Amador Twp. Also in the household was Axel's brother, Charles W Anderson (37), and daughter, Dorothea (4). Anna's mother, Johanna Carlson (57), and Johanna's daughter-in-law, Gunhild Carlson (17) were also listed. Anna was listed as the mother of two children, one living in 1910.
The 1920 federal census shows Axel L (41) and Annie (37) with the probable surname of Erickson, since a Johanna Erickson (61), a widow, was listed as the mother-in-law of Axel. Dorothy (13) and Charles W (46) were still living in the household.
