Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hanes-Lineberry North Elm Chapel with the Rev. Joe Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
Mr. Foster was a native of Alamance County and an Army veteran of World War II. He was an auto mechanic with Zayre's until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Chapel.
He is the son of the late Lester F. and Alice Petty Foster and is predeceased by a brother, Barney Foster.
Surviving are wife, Marie Crutchfield Foster; stepdaughters, Vonnie Allison of Greensboro, Jeannie Cole of Gibsonville; sisters, Ruth Clapp of Liberty, Hazel M. Alson, Gilda McLeod, Jeanette Chriscoe, and Betty Troup, all of Burlington; brothers, Roy Foster, Arthur Foster, Tom Foster, and Kenny Foster, all of Burlington; six grandchildren.
