Axel Danielsen was born on 6 September 1877 in Denmark. He was the son of Danish born Viggo and Swedish born Betty Danielsen. They came to the US on 17 Oct 1882 on the Thigvalla Line Steamship SS Hekla #1, when Axel was just 5 years old and his sister Betty was 4. He was listed as a musician in the 1900 US Census and still living at home. His father had been a musician for 14 years in the Danish Army so he probably taught him. Axel died on 4 July 1900 at the young age of just 22 years, 10 months from what used to be called "consumption" or TB at his families home at 855 N Campbell Ave in Chicago. He was single.
