A true angel among us! She was born 15 Nov 1904 in Lehi,Utah to William John Gurney and Martha Emma Bushman. She loved her family and relatives and always looked forward to the Gurney or Bushman reunion in Wines Park in Lehi each year. She was so devoted to her brothers and sisters.
She married Val Johnson (Valdemar Eldridge Johnson) 21 Dec 1927 in the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City. Three children were born to them, Charles, Grant and Martin and many grandchildren and great, grandchildren blessed her life.
One of her favorite things to do was to bake cookies for neighbors, friends and especially to keep the cookie jar filled for her grandchildren. How they loved her!
She played the piano for Relief Society for years and years and was very active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Her heritage meant a great deal to her.
She lived a simple life, a quiet life and enjoyed simple pleasures. But, she did love to travel a little with her sisters and see beautiful things.
She was a beloved daughter of God and shall always be remembered for her loving ways.
