Director.He was born in a very poor family and at the age of fifthteen he started working for Shochiku company. His first movie was in 1930 "Chambara fufu". After the break with his wife, the actres Sachiko Chuba, he had his most creative period, during fifthies.He directed "Inazuma"(1952),"Bangiku" (1954),"Ukigumo" (1955). These movies are mostly about oppressive conditions of japanese women.
