Hattie Emeline Morgan was the 7th of Henry Morris & Charlotta (Lynch) Morgan's children. She married James Jeffrey Bell in Spring Creek Township, Howell Co, MO, on April 15, 1900.

She gave birth to ten children:
1 Gladys Marie, born December 15, 1901;
2 Ivory Leland, October 22, 1903
3 Emery Ward, November 13, 1905
4 Bessie Letha, March 18, 1908
5 Grace Evalena, January 13, 1910
6 Virgie Velma, February 20, 1912
7 Laura, February 9, 1914
8 Niada Yvonne, July 3, 1915
9 Musettie Irene, March 16, 1918
10 James Jeffrey, Jr., July 25, 1920.

James died on May 29, 1954. Hattie died almost two years later on March 4, 1956. Her obituary was published in a local newspaper.
"Funeral Services Held Wednesday for Hattie Bell
Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie E. Bell, 75, who died Sunday in Good Shepherd Hospital, were held Wednesday morning from Burns Mortuary chapel with Rev. C.D. Ross of the Assembly of God church officiating.

Interment was in the Hermiston cemetery. Pall bearers were John Green, Lynn Shover, J.L. Price, Earl Vickers, Marvin Matheson and Del Christley. Mrs. Bell has been a Hermiston resident for the past 12 years.

Survivors include three sons, Emery Bell, Portland; Jay Bell, The Dalles; and Ivor Bell, Taft, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. Gladys Lawson, Summerville, Mo.; Mrs. Letha McBroom, and Mrs. Grace Goucher, Huntsville, Ark.; Mrs. Vergie, Harrington, San Ardo, Calif.; Mrs. Niada Brown, Greenfield, Calif.; and Irene Bell of Hermiston. 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren."
