She was the daughter of JOHN JOSEPH ABERCROMBIE, JR., and MARY ENGLE PATTERSON. She was the maternal granddaughter of GENERAL ROBERT PATTERSON and SARAH ANN ENGLE, and the paternal granddaughter of JOHN JOSEPH ABERCROMBIE and SARAH DENORMANDIE.

She married MAJOR WILLIAM EARNEST GOODMAN October 20, 1870 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, son of HENRY GOODMAN and MARIA EARNEST. He was born December 10, 1838 in Pennsylvania, and died March 22, 1912 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
