Patsy Myers Turner, 84, of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 at Amerisist.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Front Royal United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Gary Heaton. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Patsy was born August 8, 1924 in Harrisonburg, VA daughter of the late Ward E. Myers, Sr. and Stella Johnson Myers. She was a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church, and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 6. She was the wife of the late Joe F. Turner, Sr.
Surviving are a daughter Paige Turner Settle and husband Jeff of Front Royal; two brothers Ward E. Myers, Jr. and Johnny Myers both of Front Royal; two grandchildren Jayson Lee Bender and Shannon-Paige Bender; one step grandson Justin Settle; nephew Sonny Myers; and a niece Terry Lynn. Along with her parents and husband, Patsy was preceded in death by a son J.F. Turner, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Order of the Eastern Star, LFK Sunday School Class, and the Senior Citizens Group.
The family will receive friends on Thursday at the fellowship hall of Front Royal United Methodist Church from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. during which a Order of Eastern Star service will be held at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan B. (Breast Cancer Research), ATTN: Gift Management Services, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75244 (or online at komen.org) or to the Front Royal United Methodist Church, 1 West Main Street, Front Royal, VA.
