William Henry Arnold Jr was the son of William Henry Arnold and his 2nd wife Sarah A. 'Sallie' Heath who married 19 Oct 1865 in Platte Co. MO. They had both lost their first spouses. At the time of their marriage Sarah A. Heath was Mrs. Isaac 'Jack' Babcock, her husband having died in 1859 leaving her with one small child, James W. Babcock. William Henry Arnold Sr had three daughters brought into the marriage from his first wife (name unknown.) They began married life in Platte Co MO and had three additional children:

Under ‘Application for Letters of Administration for William H. Arnold Deceased’ dated 14 Oct 1872, the administrator of his estate, Richard Babcock states that to the best of his knowledge and belief the following are the names of the heirs and their places of residences:

A Platte Co MO land transaction of record for this family was dated Nov 15, 1892. When Sarah A. Arnold, William H. Arnold, Charles C. Arnold, George W. Arnold sold land to George W. Babcock. On that date they sold for $1,000 the following piece of land: “80 acres out of the E 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of section 35, twp 52, range 35, said 50 acres being in the central part of said 80 acres and being all of the 80 acres except 15 acres off the north end of said 80 acres and 15 acres of the south end of same as will more fully appear by a plat filed and recorded in Book N, page 234 and 235 records of Probate Court of Platte Co. MO. This land sold for $1000 and gave the widow money to establish herself in Leavenworth, KS.
