Joyce Irene Sauls Brents, age 88, of Cleveland passed away Friday, September 7, 2007. She was born February 12, 1919, in Canadian, Okla., a daughter of Roy Eugene Sauls, and Ethel Brown Sauls, she was a retired control clerk for the U.S. Civil Service and a member of New Liberty Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Loyd R. Brents of Cleveland; sons, Laddie E. Nethercutt of Midwest, Okla., and Lannie Nethercutt of Jones, Okla. daughters, Carolene Avens and husband Charles of Mesquite, Texas, Gerene Avens and husband Kenneth of Phoenix, Ariz., Alice Ann Goldie and husband Caleb of Laveen, Ariz.; sister, Betty McAntire of Yukon, Okla.; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildlren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at New Liberty Church of Christ with burial at Brents Cemetery by Harris Funeral HOme of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at the funeral home.
