Funeral services for Ozark County native and lifelong resident Tandy L. Tannehill, 80, of Hollister will be held tomorrow (July 23) at 2 p.m. at Salem General Baptist Church in Ocie, Revs. Walter Wray and Cecil Robertson officiating.
Mr. Tannehill died Monday, July 20, 1987 at Skaggs Community Hospital in Branson following a long illness.
He was born at Ocie December 7, 1906, the son of S.P. and Myrtle (Ford) Tannehill. He married Clema Duggins September 30, 1928 at Ocie.
He once taught singing schools in Ozark and Taney Counties and was employed as a sheet metal worker by the Boeing Corporation for 20 years. He was a deacon of Salem Church and a member of Sampson Lodge # 298 of the Masonic Order.
Mr. Tannehill is survived by his wife Clema, two sons, Harold D. Tannehill of Hollister and Roland L. Tannehill of Larned, Kans., three sisters, Mrs. Pansy Rozell (his twin) and Mrs. Opal Ledbetter, both of Theodosia, and Mrs. Ethel Duggins of Gainesville, four grandchildren, Steve and Ted Tannehill, Mrs. Denise Walker and Sherry Whistler, and five great-grand children.
Interment will be in Lutie Cemetery at Theodosia under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville.
